Rude Revue (soon to be renamed) is a musical ensemble of composers and
musicians in Iowa City, Iowa. We improvise, and may occasionally play
unorthodox versions of klezmer, jazz, German Expressionism, etc. as well
as our own compositions on paper. We are considering a "world" tour in
my Toyota, possibly next summer, and would like to get acquainted with
the various venues that may be available throughout the US and North
America for performance of experimental music and improv. We already are
familiar with some venues in Alabama and San Francisco. Can anyone
recommend other sites? We are especially interested in playing in places
where there is an interested community of fellow
experimentalists/improvisers and where there may be an interested
public. Though money is not the objective, we wouldn't be opposed to
concertizing where donations are made to defray our expenses. We would
also want to go where accommodations can be supplied. We would be glad
to supply tapes of what we do to potential hosts, as well as converse or
correspond.

If you know of venues or interested parties, please let me know, and
supply addresses and phone numbers when possible. I appreciate your
help.
